It's Been a While - for Etsy

After a couple months of creating, selling locally, creating more, and another sale, I've finally gotten what is left photographed and listed in my Etsy shop. I find that I tend to work in shifts, somewhat. I go through stages when I am creating new designs, and I just keep going and going. I don't take the time to photograph or list things in my Etsy shop. Well, I finally took a creative break, picked up the camera, and got to the part of the job that I struggle with. {photography} I'm working on improving my technique, and am hoping that I'm making progress. So, without further ado, here's all that is new and fresh in my Etsy shop:

I've been working hard on improving my photography skills, so please leave me a comment with any advice or suggestions. Of course, you can always leave a comment to ask me a question, too!

  1. Overall, I think your pics look great! I do have one tip for you to try out though, see if you agree. I try to photograph my items on a contrasting background color. Example: Your red earrings, second to last row, on the right, I'd photograph those on the either of the stones in the row above that one instead. The same with the first earrings, the orange flowers, I would have done those on the blue cup instead. I think doing contrasting backgrounds makes the colors in the item POP! Aside from that, your items are beautiful. I especially like the earrings in the very bottom row, the bracelet in the third from bottom row and the earrings above that!

  2. Hey Niki, thanks so much for taking a look at my pictures and giving me feedback. It always helps to look at things from another's perspective. You're so right about the background colors. Sometimes I just don't catch that my choice isn't the best, until it's too late! Thanks!
